The Science:
Energised Oxygen Process
What is Energised Oxygen?
Energised Oxygen is ‘Activated’ Air that is produced within an Energised Oxygen device and can have beneficial effects on the body when inhaled.
The Oxygen in ambient room air is known as Ground State Oxygen. This form of Oxygen is in its lowest energy state, meaning it is the least reactive of all forms of Oxygen. At an atomic level, ambient air (ground state) Oxygen contains single, unpaired electrons in the outer electron shell.
Inside the Machine:
Room Air is pulled into the Energised Oxygen Device through a clinical grade air filter. Within the machine, this room air passes over a photosensitive catalyst (the patented technology) and is exposed to specific frequencies of light, via LEDs.
This process causes a spin inversion of the outer electrons of the ground state Oxygen, which converts the Oxygen molecules into Singlet Oxygen, in which the outer electrons are paired and which is much more reactive, due to existing in a higher state of energy.
Since Singlet Oxygen is so reactive, within a fraction of a second, the Singlet Oxygen reverts to Ground State again (i.e. No Singlet Oxygen leaves the machine. This is important for health.)
In reverting to the Ground State, specific energy is released into the filtered air mixture, in the form of Light Energy of a Near Infra Red wavelength. This energised air mixture is then humidified with pure water via the ‘bubbling bottle’ and inhaled by the user via a simple nasal cannula or facemask.
Energised Oxygen Process:
Ozone – an entirely different species:
Ground State Oxygen is depicted by the symbol 3O2
Singlet Oxygen is depicted by the symbol 1O2
Ozone is depicted by the symbol O3
PLEASE NOTE: ALTHOUGH THE TERM ACTIVATED OXYGEN CAN BE USED FOR BOTH THIS FORM OF ENERGISED OXYGEN, AS WELL AS ‘OZONE’, THEY ARE VERY DIFFERENT FORMS OF OXYGEN AND UTILISED IN VERY DIFFERENT WAYS. ENERGISED OXYGEN DEVICES DO NOT PRODUCE OZONE – WHICH IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE, SINCE OZONE SHOULD NOT BE DIRECTLY INHALED.
Effects of the Singlet Oxygen Energy on the body include:
Increased Oxygen absorption
Improved Oxygen transport and uptake by cells
Optimised cellular energy production
Anti-oxidant effect; triggering of the Oxidative Response.
The consequences of triggering the Oxidative response (i.e. Cellular repair and regeneration, without introduction of free radicals and Oxidative stress into the body) have been shown to include greater activation of the Parasympathetic Nervous System (with very positive effects).
Most commonly reported benefits from regular use of Energised Oxygen include:
Improved energy levels
Greater brain clarity
Improved calm and wellbeing
More restorative sleep
